*Update: Congratulations to our four Boo Boo Soother winners: Mariann, Susan, Jennifer, and Kristie. All of the winners have been contacted and have responded. Thanks for entering!
My precious little baby girl is no longer, well, a baby. It didn’t take her long to knick up those soft, perfect little legs of hers. They are full of bruises, bug bites and scrapes. When the shorts come out, so do the ice packs and bandages.
I’m happy that I know about The Happy Company. They have a new “Mommy and Me” line including The Happy Soother for boo boos and all other ailments I mentioned above (and then some).
My two and a half year old is more than happy to sit still and forget all about her owie while she admires her butterfly Boo Boo Soother. These are perfect in size for the kids and have a soft, Cotton Jersey knit sleeve over the gel insert. The gel insert can be heated in the microwave or placed in the freezer, depending on said ailment.
These fabulous little inventions are a must-have around the house when there are little arms and legs flailing about. One of them is sure enough to get a little banged up and need some sort of soothing. The Boo Boo Soothers are sold in packs of three and cost about $14.99 a pop. They can be purchased nationwide at select retailers or online at The Happy Company.
WIN IT!
We know you’re going to need a few of these, so we’re teaming up with The Happy Company to offer FOUR of our readers a pack of Boo Boo Soothers.
TO ENTER:
Leave a comment on this post and let us know if your little one is, dare I say, a “tad” on the clumsy side. If he or she isn’t, well, you’re one of the lucky ones! : ) This giveaway ends on Monday, July 1st and four winners will be chosen randomly (not based on comment) and notified via email. After confirmation, we will update this post with the winner’s names. Bloggers and non-bloggers are welcome to enter.
Good luck!

My 5 yr old is the poster child for clumsy! As a matter of fact, we are just back from getting his cast removed from his arm and he fell and skinned his knees on the way in! Eeesh!

June 25th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
My son is forever getting bruises and cuts. He is always trying to climb and jump off everything.
June 25th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
My 6-year-old is not so clumsy but when she does get a boo boo, LOOK OUT. she acts as if the world has ended and of course EVERY boo boo HAS to have neosporine and a band aid!!
June 25th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
Not a mom yet… but I am clumsy!
June 25th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
My daughter has her clumsy moments…
June 25th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
We showed up at my son’s 12 month checkup with a monster goose egg on his forehead. Tomorrow is his 18 month appt, and he’s got scratches on all 4 limbs! Good thing we have a realistic ped!
June 25th, 2008 at 8:53 pm
My 4-year-old is very careful, and thus doesn’t get into accidents very often. This kind of works against her, though, because she isn’t so physically gifted, so when she does get hurt she’s so not used to it, it really takes a lot out of her. So the Boo Boo Soother would definitely help in our house.
June 25th, 2008 at 9:03 pm
Ours weren’t/aren’t but our daughter’s namesake is at that rough-and-tumble stage!
June 25th, 2008 at 9:08 pm

June 25th, 2008 at 10:18 pm
My son is definitely clumsy – he’s always going to fast & tripping over his own feet!
June 25th, 2008 at 10:40 pm
My son hasn’t started walking yet but still manages to fall about and bump n bruise his arms and legs.
June 25th, 2008 at 10:44 pm
My son is only seven months old, so his degree of clumsiness is still unclear. But iif he’s anything like his mother, he’ll be getting bump and bruises on a regular basis! We’d love to have a pack of these.
June 25th, 2008 at 10:56 pm
My daughter is definitely clumsy. She comes from a long line of clumsy people. My siblings and I were always known for being clumsy, but my older sister was the worst.
June 25th, 2008 at 11:28 pm
My little girl is on the verge of mobility so bumps and bruises are just around the corner (provided she doesn’t bump INTO the corner…)!
June 26th, 2008 at 12:37 am

June 26th, 2008 at 12:41 am

June 26th, 2008 at 1:18 am
My son (almost 6) is very cautious… but with his sister (2) around, he’s always getting hurt! We also can tell the first sign of Spring by the number of scrapes, bruises and cuts on my daughter’s legs!
June 26th, 2008 at 2:29 am
honestly, Im shocked we haven’t been to the ER yet *knocks on wood*
June 26th, 2008 at 3:16 am
Yes and when is “hurt” thinks has to have many many things to make better.
June 26th, 2008 at 3:57 am
I have three kids, all active in dance, soccer, martial arts, etc..so I could use one of these – they always have ailments!!
June 26th, 2008 at 4:43 am
What a great idea! Very colorful and cheerful. Just the thing for cheering up a cut or scrape.
June 26th, 2008 at 5:05 am
I take care of my two year old grandson and he loves to run.
The only problem is he trips and goes flying.
These are a truly needed invention.
June 26th, 2008 at 5:06 am
My girls somehow popped our Hello Kitty one so we are looking for a replacement boo boo thingy. They get skinned knees and stubbed toes but more than anything, it provides an emotional comfort. At a hangnail, they have to run to get the boo boo pack!
June 26th, 2008 at 5:08 am
My daughter is always hurting something, we call her Queen of the Band Aids. These would be the “icing on the cake” when she gets hurt.
June 26th, 2008 at 5:20 am
we are all clumsy argh
June 26th, 2008 at 5:30 am
My daughter definately has her shares of bumps and bruises. The main cause is she doesn’t want me to help her do anything.

Well my son is very clumsy-but I know that he is just like his mother. My legs look almost as bad as his when it is summer time.
June 26th, 2008 at 5:55 am
My daughter definitely needs this. Please enter me.
June 26th, 2008 at 6:07 am
My daughter is older & enjoys still being treated like my “little girl” Her legs really can use this!
June 26th, 2008 at 6:11 am
I guess I’m one of the lucky ones. My son doesn’t get hurt often but he does like a boo-boo soother for the tinest bump or scratch.
June 26th, 2008 at 6:12 am
I have 2 boys- both seem to be constantly bumping, bruising, scraping something- this would be great!
June 26th, 2008 at 6:12 am
My son has broken his leg twice. The second time he says “Yeah, I get my wheel chair back.”
June 26th, 2008 at 6:17 am

June 26th, 2008 at 6:47 am

June 26th, 2008 at 6:50 am
My 4 year old is super clumsy. Not sure where he gets it from…
June 26th, 2008 at 6:51 am
My little one is crawling now and gets a “boo boo” on a daily basis. She is constantly hitting her head. Clumsy, I dont know; but definitely a hard-headed little girl:)
June 26th, 2008 at 6:54 am
COOL
June 26th, 2008 at 6:58 am
i just know my son will be clumsy, i have a nagging feeling he will be running around soon, climbing up the walls and falling all over. hopefully one of these boo boo things will help
June 26th, 2008 at 7:06 am
She’s not clumsy, but she insists on treatment for even the imaginary boo boos!
June 26th, 2008 at 7:22 am
My 2 year old grandaughter is always in such a hurry, she ia always getting little bumps and bruises. Kisses usually work, but she would love these clever Boo Boo Soothers.
June 26th, 2008 at 7:26 am
My son is currently sporting a shiner from pulling a chair down on his nose.
June 26th, 2008 at 7:32 am
My daughter is right at table height these days. She’s always standing up under the table and banging her forehead! Thanks!
June 26th, 2008 at 7:33 am
My son is clumsy. He loves trying to climb on everything and well he falls often.I also think the little one will be doing the same as his brother soon. Thanks for the giveaway!
June 26th, 2008 at 7:37 am
my husband and I are both a bit clumsy–so our kids didn’t have a chance! Thanks for the giveaway!
June 26th, 2008 at 7:50 am
No kids yet, but if when I have the first they are anything like me, I’m in trouble. For now, they’d be great for all my own scrapes and bruises… particularly for falling down (or up as the case may be!) stairs which is what I tend to do most often.
June 26th, 2008 at 7:53 am
We’ve had several battles of Child Face vs. Playground Woodchips already this year. We could definitely use these!
June 26th, 2008 at 7:57 am
Both of my kids have constant scrapes on their knees and elbows. We would certainly put these to good use!
June 26th, 2008 at 8:56 am
When my almost 18-month old was just starting to walk (at about 14ish-months) she fell on the sidewalk and skinned her perfect little nose. It took about a week to heal, then 2 days later she fell again and did the exact same thing! Thankfully she has not skinned her nose again since. Knees? Well that’s another story.
June 26th, 2008 at 8:58 am
um, yeah. clutz?? here’s a funny story. about 2 weeks ago, georgia and i just got home from a long yucky monday of work and daycare. i was about to start supper when i heard georgia scream “THE ICE CREAM TRUCK! I HEAR THE ICE CREAM TRUCK!” i walked into the living room where she was and listened. i couldn’t hear a dang thing. then all of a sudden veeeerrrrrrrrrryyyyy faintly, i could hear that crazy ice cream truck tune. i have NO IDEA how she heard it already! i mean i was really straining to hear it, and i’ve got good hearing. so i said, ok, well go out and stand at the end of the driveway, i’m going to get the money and come out. she said no mommy, hurry, i want you to come with me! so i flew into my room, grabbed my wallet out of my purse, and grabbed a couple dollars. at this point i could hear him coming down our road, and georgia looked like she had to pee a river, she was dancing around and yelling HURRY MOMMY HURRY! so we flew out the door, georgia first, i was right behind her. no shoes of course. she ran so fast off that porch that she went FLYING about 4 feet in the air and landed on the ground. i immediately thought, OUCH! THAT HAD TO HURT! and i prepared myself for the tears. but no. no tears (very unusual i assure you). she just got up and kept right on running out to the ice cream truck (she was HELLBENT on getting her ice cream!) by that point the ice cream truck guy had stopped because he seen us flying out of the house. he was laughing at us and said, geez, we don’t need to get any broken bones over ice cream! i said, you don’t know my daughter…
June 26th, 2008 at 9:08 am
My son isn’t clumsy…. he’s adventurous. The worst “adventure” involved a trip to the ER and some stitches. And since his little sister functions as his shadow…. let’s just say I could certainly put these to good use. Thanks.

June 26th, 2008 at 9:38 am
Hmm – I wouldn’t say clumsy, but certainly still pigeon-toed! She falls ALL the time….
June 26th, 2008 at 9:49 am
My little one isn’t exactly clumsy. She has no FEAR, which is even worse. She tries to climb, jump off of, and bounce on anything in sight. Which makes for very many ouches. Thanks so much for the opportunity.
June 26th, 2008 at 9:51 am
My twins aren’t quite yet on the clumsy side, but if they are anything like their parents then we will be in trouble!
June 26th, 2008 at 9:51 am

My daughter and step daughter are both the clumsiest 4 and 5 year olds i have ever seen, they don’t go a day without falling. My son is 10 months old and has started walking and falling alot..These would be great!
June 26th, 2008 at 10:54 am
They are so cute. I have an 8 year old who thinks he’s a professional wrestler and a 14 month old who walks and walks and touches everything!
June 26th, 2008 at 11:16 am
My son is very good at getting bruises. Just yesterday he ran into another friend at school and they bumped heads. He has a very nice bump in the center of his forhead.
June 26th, 2008 at 11:24 am
My little one is more than a tad clumsy. She is much to busy to watch where she is going. She has been known to run full speed into a wall, door,or tree. LOL.
June 26th, 2008 at 11:50 am
LO is only 4 months so not clumsy yet, but he’ll definitely be clumsy when he’s learning to walk.
June 26th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
My clumsy 5 year old son could really use these! Thanks!
June 26th, 2008 at 12:24 pm
My 3 year old isnt real clumsy, but he scares me when he runs, he always looks like he is going to fall. Thats nerve racking for me. Its seems I am always bracing myself, hoping he doesnt fall.
June 26th, 2008 at 12:27 pm
My daughter will be 1 soon and is just starting to walk. We’ve already had more than a few bumps and bruises!
June 26th, 2008 at 12:32 pm
My daughter bumped into the door frame yesterday and got a lump on her forehead. That’s the only “real” booboo from yesterday, but we probably had a dozen minor bumps and tumbles!
June 26th, 2008 at 12:38 pm
My 2 year old just fell and bumped her head on a chair yesterday. Kisses usually make everything better, but I’m sure she’d like a butterfly Boo Boo Soother for the bigger owies.
June 26th, 2008 at 1:17 pm
My nephew . . . bless his little heart . . . he’s such a klutz. He’s broken more bones and scraped more knees, elbows, etc. in his 5 years than I have in my entire life. He would definitely benefit from this prize! Thanks for the chance to win!
June 26th, 2008 at 1:24 pm
not very often but he has his times
June 26th, 2008 at 1:42 pm
My kids are the clumsiest children! This would help make so many bumps and bruises feel better in our home.
June 26th, 2008 at 1:51 pm
4 sets of stiches = clumsy
June 26th, 2008 at 1:54 pm
My kids, clumsy, no! Well, maybe a tad and I just don’t know where they get – says the mom with the torn ligaments in her foot, who’s sister just broker her foot. They love those little ice packs.
June 26th, 2008 at 2:00 pm
I wouldn’t say my daughter is too clumsy, but she ALWAYS makes sure to point out each and every owie she gets, regardless of how small it is.
June 26th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
Mine needs a football helmet!
June 26th, 2008 at 2:27 pm
my grandson is a “tad” on the clumsy side
June 26th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
I think every toddler is a tad on the clumsy side, mine is no exception. Our last trip to the doctor was for staples to close a gash in the back of his head, sigh.
June 26th, 2008 at 4:34 pm
LOL Yes…but we kind of turn a blind eye. He’s learning!
June 26th, 2008 at 6:28 pm
My step daughters are always asking for band-aids. Thank goodness they are just as clumsy at their mom’s house!
June 26th, 2008 at 6:30 pm
My two toddlers need something fun to help occupy them when I try to ice things…THanks!
June 26th, 2008 at 6:46 pm
My littlest one is clumsy like me!
June 26th, 2008 at 7:15 pm

June 26th, 2008 at 7:55 pm
my daughter is not walking yet but I am sure it wont be long until I will need one of these
June 26th, 2008 at 8:37 pm
These would be great for my granddaughter who, not quite 2, is a rowdy little girl! LOL
June 26th, 2008 at 9:03 pm
my daughter can’t keep up with her growing body and my son is all boy, so we are constantly running to the freezer for ice, and the drawer for band aids!!
June 27th, 2008 at 2:40 am
What a neat product! My daughter is more than a tad on the clumsy side. She’s overboard with it. Poor girl trips on her own feet.
June 27th, 2008 at 6:31 am
My 3 year old definitely takes after me in the clumsy department! Luckily, we haven’t had any serious accidents so far (knock on wood).
June 27th, 2008 at 8:02 am
very much so!
June 27th, 2008 at 11:27 am
This is such a neat product!
June 27th, 2008 at 11:57 am
We’re only 2 months old here, altho she has scratched her face a couple of times to make us feel guilty for not trimming her nails!
If she’s anything like I was tho, we’ll be needing this!
June 27th, 2008 at 12:00 pm
I get the prize for er visits!

June 27th, 2008 at 12:06 pm
Even the smallest scratch, bump or itch brings out the great big sad-eyed ‘I have an owie’ look.
June 27th, 2008 at 12:17 pm
As the mother of two boys, I could use these many times during the day!
June 27th, 2008 at 12:37 pm
My 3 yr old grandson is clumbsy he is just a normal little boy who falls an plays an falls downs an gets boo boos,an ouchys, like we all did as kids, but his poor old mamaw could use this to help her help him sooth his wounds, thanks
June 27th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
I am the mimi to 4 year old Emma. It would take a streak of lightning to keep up with her and her boo boo’s. She is constantly getting scrapes, scratches, bug bites, stings and the usual mishaps that can happen to kids. Needless to say she has to have some type of soother for her many boo boo’s. We could certainly use some extra.
June 27th, 2008 at 5:13 pm
i’m grandma and every boo boo the grandkids get is major to me.
June 27th, 2008 at 5:41 pm
My 3 year old granddaughter is always falling. These would be great for her. Thanks!!
June 27th, 2008 at 5:53 pm
Both my daughters are so clumsy! My oldest totally milks her boo boos & loves things like this! My youngest is pretty tough, but loves things like this just as much. Great giveaway
June 27th, 2008 at 6:14 pm

June 27th, 2008 at 7:36 pm
My 5 year old is definitely clumsy, she’s always falling down and bruising her knees, at one point her legs looked like she had been in a battle and the sidewalk won! Thanks for a great giveaway, these would come in handy around here!
June 27th, 2008 at 9:18 pm
My 3 middle boys ( soon to be 7, 5 & 4) seem to get hourly boo-boos. I don’t think it is so much that they are clumsy, but more that they are boys. lol
June 28th, 2008 at 6:20 am
One of my daughters falls when standing still or when sitting. I don’t mean to laugh but HOW does she do this?
June 28th, 2008 at 10:48 am
my son is obsessed with his “boo-boos”. when he takes a nap, he says “boo-boo take a nap”. when he wakes up, the first thing he says is “boo-boo wake up!” my daughter isn’t quite as accident prone as my son!
June 28th, 2008 at 1:12 pm
My oldest is a little clumsy, but he seems to be growing out of it. Thank goodness!
June 28th, 2008 at 2:43 pm
My son tends to be clumsy but not my daughter.
June 28th, 2008 at 3:34 pm
My son isn’t clumsy he’s just extremely active
June 28th, 2008 at 5:35 pm

Would love to enter. Thanks for the chance
My daughter would really benefit from these.
June 28th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
My nephew is always getting bumped and bruised and scraped and scratched…he’s a rough and tumble boy. He’d love these!

June 28th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
I believe my daughter is clumsy on purpose at times because after she “hurts herself,” instead of crying, she usually laughs.
June 28th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
I think my grandson should wear long pants all summer-his knees are all skinned up
June 29th, 2008 at 3:50 am
My daughter hasn’t been all that ‘clumsy’ to date, however with the training wheels soon to come off, yup I believe these would come in handy. Thank you.
June 29th, 2008 at 12:25 pm
My daughter is super clumsy. My son isn’t a bit clumsy.
June 29th, 2008 at 6:26 pm
Maybe not as much clumsy as she is vivacious. She gets boo-boos during her energetic play.
June 29th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
I swear my children are the clumsiest children ever!! It’s just constant band aids and bumps and bruises!
June 29th, 2008 at 6:51 pm
I like the soccer ball. Nice!
June 29th, 2008 at 6:58 pm
Tristan seems to think he can cause no pain to himself but mommy knows better!
June 29th, 2008 at 8:37 pm
Yes, he is, just like his mama! :0)
These are so cute!

June 30th, 2008 at 2:45 am
My daughter is the type that trips over her own feet!
June 30th, 2008 at 8:43 am
My 3 year old grandson who thinks bandaids are the cure for anything! And has the need for one constantly.
June 30th, 2008 at 9:02 am
Yes, I would have to say that my daughter is a “tad” clumsy.
June 30th, 2008 at 11:29 am
we are a clumsy family.
June 30th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
My daughter has more bumps and scrapes then I can count- and she always needs am icepack or band-aid for something!
June 30th, 2008 at 3:00 pm
Remember, if kids are more than normally clumsy its important to rule out proprioceptive dysfunction (this is a Sensory Integration issue). Sometimes a boo-boo is just a boo-boo, sometimes it can be a symptom of something more serious.
June 30th, 2008 at 6:34 pm
I coach two kids soccer teams. There are always lots of boo boos.
June 30th, 2008 at 7:05 pm
Both DH and I are super clumsy, so I am sure Princess will be too
June 30th, 2008 at 7:31 pm
I have a daredevil and one in his own world:)

Both of my boys are on the clusmy side. They unfortunately get it from me! There always seems to be some new scrape or bruise from playing outdoors.

If you even saw how many bruises Connor’s had on his legs you’d not have to ask

Anytime my 3 year old Sam falls or bumbs his head, he insists on something from the freezer to help make it better. Usually it is a bag of peas or corn, but these would be so much cuter!!

I have such clumsy girls that I took them to the doctor to see if maybe they have inner ear problems.

My kinda stuff! And yes, my 2-year-old is a bit on the clumsy side. Just last night, going for a walk, I heard a loud THUMP behind me. I turned around to see my son on his hands and knees on the sidewalk. My husband, who was next to him at the time, reached to check my son’s head. You guessed it–that horrible sound was his head hitting pavement. I pretended to be all, “Oh, you’re okay. Mommy kiss it make it better.” But I was sick to my stomach. Fortunately, just a little bruise. Eek!

Lots of little ones around just learning to walk. These would come in quite handy.

Mine is on the unlucky side. If there’s a way to get a bruise, she’s there. If there’s a bug, it’s going to bite her. And so on, and so on.

My daughter is so clumsy. Everytime she falls my hasband and I blame her shoes, but it doesn’t matter… sandles, tennies, or boots, she still falls a lot.
July 1st, 2008 at 12:36 pm
Yes, lots of little bruises
July 1st, 2008 at 1:42 pm
My daughter is definately a little bruiser! Not afraid to get dirty or fly through the air without a care!

My 15-month-old is great at walking, but sometimes when she’s in a hurry her body and head get moving faster than her little legs can keep up. She’s definitely gotten a few scrapes on her knees when this has happened while playing outside.

Knee and elbow scrapes for the most part are part of the 18month year old perils for this point both inside/outside our home. Thanks SW

Actually my kids aren’t too clumsy but they still get hurt.

My son isn’t clumsy; he is just a daredevil! We are frequently dealing with a new bump or bruise or scratch.
July 1st, 2008 at 8:52 pm
well my little one is a toddler so yes, lots of bumps and bruises!
July 1st, 2008 at 8:53 pm
no, not especially clumsy but this could still be useful
July 1st, 2008 at 8:55 pm
If falling through the screen door onto the deck counts, then my little one qualifies. Let’s just say her middle name isn’t Grace.

I wouldn’t say any of us are clumsy but my oldest is very sensitive to pain and would really appreciate these!
July 1st, 2008 at 9:29 pm
My son just turned one and so far he doesn’t seem to be too clumsy…I guess we’ll find out soon enough!
July 1st, 2008 at 9:47 pm

None of my 3 are extremely clumsy, we just have the normal amount of boo boos
Thanks for the giveaway!

My 3 year old is the one who is always getting hurt, no matter how careful I try to be. At our last home, she constantly fell on our tile floors. We just moved into a house with stairs and, sure enough, it took her 3 days to trip on the bottom steps and hit her head. She is o.k., but it really scared all of us.

I don’t have a little one yet, but if I do, I’m sure he or she will be on the clumsy side like me. ;0P
