THE MUMS…and THE DAD
Laura is wife to Elliott, mom to 3 year-old asker of many questions, Noel, and 1 year-old Attila the Hun, also known as Lennon.. She grew up in Kansas City but currently resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with her family of four. She works full-time while her husband is a stay-at-home-dad. Elliott also runs an eBay business, “The Umbrella Shoppe” from their home, and is also a member of this here site. She loves hanging out with all her guys, listening to music, watching TV (especially The Brady Bunch) & all things vintage & kitsch. If you can’t find her here at Mums or on Twitter, she’s probably at Costco. She also thinks she’s clever and funny…though some might beg to differ.

Umbrella Shoppe Collectibles is what I do to support my offspring habit. I have 2 boys, Noel & Lennon, with whom I stay home. My wife, mum Laura, is still slugging it out in an actual “office.” I like vintage stuff and sell vintage stuff. It is a vicious circle. The line between inventory and personal collection tends to blur.

Naomi grew up in Hawaii and lived in Texas, Washington and Tennessee before landing smack dab in the middle of Wichita, Kansas where she resides with her artist husband Bob. She is a stay-at-home mom to Roo and Jasper and six cats. She collects bakelite jewelry, mid century modern furniture and thrift store paintings (big eyes and oriental ladies), among other things. Typography and baking rank high on her list of cool. She put out the first Spoon 45 on her record label, Fluffer, and was once featured in Kutie magazine, but that was a million years ago. She blogs about covetable stuff at superdumb supervillain and is waiting for her kids to start a band.

Anna is trying to find her identity as an urban Mama. On most days you’ll find her lost, trying to decipher a google map, pushing 80 pounds in her beloved double stroller on a busy Philadelphia street. When not knitting, designing, wiping bums and making up recipes, Anna can be found blogging at A Happy Knitter and Mama Eats Her Peas. She is also a writer for Homespun Oasis and Blissfully Domestic.

MOLLY
Molly is mum to three delightful demons ages 3, 4 and 8. A transplant from the Pacific Northwest to San Antonio, TX, she is a Registered Nurse working at her neighborhood hospital. She is also an assistant room mom at her son’s school. This fall she celebrates 15 years of marriage to her husband Pete, a stay-at-home dad who wrangles the kids during Molly’s 13-hour shifts. She enjoys spending time outdoors and her passions include cooking, babywearing, gardening, attachment parenting, urban homesteading and photography. She’s learning how to play guitar so she can join her husband’s band (not). Molly loves to discover high-quality products made by small, eco-friendly businesses.
